“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Someone “gave” this verse to me when I was 21 years old, and I had just moved from London to New York.
This verse was really timely for me, because I had been feeling a little homesick, wondering whether I had made the right choice to move to New York. I found, and still find, this verse incredibly encouraging, knowing that God had amazing plans for my life. It’s something I remind myself of regularly whenever I’m at a crossroads.
It’s also a verse that I often remind friends of when they too are struggling with decisions about their future. Our “Hope and a Future” cards and prints are great gifts to give to loved ones that you want to remind of this message.
It’s not just me that loves this verse. According to www.biblegateway.com, this is the second most read verse. Can you guess what no 1. is? John 3:16 of course!
