Being still when life is busy

Life is very busy with a baby and toddler in tow. It’s wonderfully challenging and wonderful all at the same time. One of the things that I struggle with is consistently making time to stop and have a quiet time, where I pray, read my bible and spend time with God.

I find that there’s always something to do… laundry to fold, meals to cook, emails to send, puzzles to do with my little girl… the list goes on! I quite enjoy the busyness of the day, but I definitely miss the “peace” that comes from simply being still.

One thing that has definitely been helping me through this season of life that we’re in is listening to the fantastic album from Nikki Fletcher called “All Glory”. I absolutely love it! Nikki has the most beautiful voice, and the words of the songs are so powerful and gentle at the same time.

The great thing is, I can have it on whatever I’m doing in the house. My daughter loves dancing to “All Glory” as well. It’s very cute! I’m realising that I can worship God in everything I do – from having a quiet time by myself to snuggling up on the sofas with my precious babies, with my favourite CD on. God can meet me anywhere.
